Israeli High-Tech: More Than Technology - A Story Worth Telling on the Global Stage

Yesterday (March 17), we kicked off the first session of Wix Engineering’s new program aimed at increasing the presence of Israeli developers at international tech conferences.
We work in an industry filled with groundbreaking innovation, creative solutions, and insights that can influence the global community and elevate Israeli high-tech abroad. But for that to happen, people need to tell their stories.
And here lies one of the biggest challenges: How many times have you felt like you had nothing new to share, that your story was "boring", or that everything had already been said?
The key to overcoming this is understanding that we are not the main focus - our work, challenges, struggles, and the lessons we’ve learned along the way are.
Conferences aren’t looking for the "coolest" or "most interesting" people - they’re looking for content that provides value to others.
In the workshop, we discussed how to choose a topic, how to craft a winning CFP, and how to turn our experiences (including failures!) into meaningful content that someone out there will be eager to hear. And then, we sat down and started writing.
This is just the beginning.
There will be more sessions, more training, a growing community, and more opportunities for those who want to break beyond Israel’s borders and turn their knowledge into global impact.
