Book: The War of Art, Steven Pressfield

War of Art

This fantastic book is entirely focused on a force called Resistance.

According to Steven Pressfield, Resistance is an internal force that exists within each of us and prevents us from doing great things - keeping us from realizing our full potential. Aligning with our inner Resistance can feel comfortable and even logical, which makes this force both powerful and dangerous.

Resistance has many tricks up its sleeve, one of which is making us wait for the perfect conditions - whether it’s inspiration or the "right time" - before taking action to move forward in life.

A great example of this came from my own life when a friend once told me that he really wanted to start running - he was just waiting for his new Apple Watch to arrive before getting started. Get the idea?..

The book also discusses the difference between an amateur and a professional, drawing practical insights that we should apply in areas where we truly want to grow.

The tone throughout the book is tough, and the author shares many of his own failures (even at an older age), which makes the book incredibly motivating and convincing.

Highly recommended.I couldn’t find a Hebrew translation for this book.
